Attaché help
Connect your assistant to Attaché
Attaché is a CRM for small businesses. If you already pay for an AI assistant — Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or another — you can let it work with your records here instead of retyping things into it. Ask in plain words and it answers from your own records: who your customers are, which deals are close to closing, which quotes are out, which invoices are overdue, what you promised to follow up on, and the files behind each one. Ask for work as well — add a customer, start a deal, raise a quote, draft an invoice, log a note, send a follow-up — and it waits for somebody at the business to approve it before anything changes. Your subscription does the heavy lifting; we do not bill you for what it does.
1 · Give your assistant the address
This is a setting, not a message. Pasting it into the chat box does nothing — it goes once into wherever your assistant keeps its connections. There is nothing to install and no key to generate.
Every workspace has its own address, so one a colleague forwarded you will not work for yours — the assistant signs in and is then told the app is not recognised. Copy the one above, from the workspace you are signed in to.
- Claude — Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector. On a Team or Enterprise plan the owner adds it once under Organization settings, and everyone else picks it up from there.
- ChatGPT — on the web, not the phone app. Add it as a custom app in Settings, accept the warning about connecting an MCP server, then allow the tools it asks for; ChatGPT marks ours low-risk, so allowing all of them is the ordinary answer. If Settings offers nothing about custom apps, turn on Developer mode there first and look again.
- Gemini — Settings, then Connected apps, then Add a custom app. Personal Google accounts in the US only for now — a free one is enough. A work or school account needs Gemini Enterprise instead.
Valid as of 10-03-2026. If one of those menus has moved, look for connectors, connected apps or custom apps — that is the setting you want.
2 · Sign in and say what it may do
- 1Your assistant sends you to an Attaché sign-in page. That is the only place your password is ever typed, and it is ours — your assistant never sees it.
- 2You are shown exactly which tools that connection will get. You say yes or no. Say no and nothing has been shared.
- 3From then on it can ask. A connection can never do more than the person who approved it could do themselves.
What it can reach
Permission is granted a family at a time, and you choose which:

- What the last upload did
- Recent comments
- Everything one person said
- Write a reply for the creator to post
- File TikTok and Instagram comments
- Invoices and who owes you
- Files
- Share a file
- Add a file
- Add a customer (company)
- Add a customer (person)

Your email
Attaché never opens a mailbox, so there is no tool above that reads one. It can read the email somebody has already filed onto a record here — forwarded in, or copied in when it was sent — and that is all.
If the assistant you already pay for — Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini — is connected to your mailbox on its own side, you can connect it to Attaché as well and let it do the reading: it reads the mail where it already can, and writes what matters onto the right person or deal here, so everything else in Attaché can see it. Nothing in Attaché ever opens your inbox, and there is nothing to set up on your email.
What it can never reach
- Your passwords, keys and connected accounts. Setting up a connection to anything else — your mailbox, your texting account, how you get paid — is not something an outside assistant can do, at any permission level. Reading your mailbox is not something Attaché does at all; if your assistant can already reach it, that happens on its side and not through this connection.
- Sending, paying or changing anything without a person. Those arrive on an approvals desk inside Attaché and wait there for somebody to decide.
- Anybody else’s business. A connection is to one workspace and that workspace only.
What we record, and how to end it
We record which tool ran and how it ended, never what it read or what it said. Sign in and you can see all of it, and cut any connection off, on Connected assistants under the agent settings — it stops straight away, and you can connect the same assistant again later. You can also remove it from the assistant’s own connector settings.
